Patella Luxation (Dislocated Kneecap)
Patella luxation, or a dislocated kneecap, happens when the kneecap slips out of its normal position in the femur. This condition is common in toy and small dog breeds such as the Maltese, Chihuahua, French Poodle, and Bichon Frise, which may have a genetic predisposition.
